GEOLOG is a world leader in oilfield services delivering solutions to Oil, Gas and Geothermal operators globally, with a workforce approaching 2,000 and operations in 40+ countries. www.geolog.comGeolog is looking to hire a Reservoir Engineer with proven experience in reservoir characterization and production optimization. Following an initial integration period in Milan, Italy, the position will be based in a Geolog key operating base (e.g. Houston, Dubai, Aberdeen).
POSITION
The Reservoir Engineer will support the development and sale to clients of solutions for their production monitoring and optimization as well as data and services to improve their static and dynamic reservoir modeling.
Responsibilities include:
• Liaise with client geoscientists, production and reservoir engineers and commercial managers to identify and propose new technology for field development and production services
• Support clients with data and services to help them improve their understanding of reservoir compartmentalization, identification of fluid contacts, production allocation and monitoring, prediction of water breakthrough
• Plan and define challenges in production data acquisition and reservoir monitoring
• Support geological and geochemical studies used as input for reservoir modeling and field development
• Interact with the Geolog R&D team to support the development of new tools and solutions
REQUIREMENTS
• MSc or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in an Oil Company with good exposure and understanding of Reservoir Modeling and Simulation
• Production Optimization expertise
• Knowledge of reservoir petrophysics and geochemistry tools and practice preferred
• Detailed-oriented, methodical, and process-oriented attitude
• Capability to efficiently deliver technically sound interpretations and clear recommendations
• Excellent team player, capable to train commercial staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with sales potential
• Fluent in written and spoken English
